If you need a doctor urgently between 1.00pm and 6.30pm please contact
the NHS 111 Service by ringing 111. This service is free from both landlines and mobiles.
These are computerised. When you are on regular medication you will be given a repeat prescription slip. If you require more medication, you do not need to see the doctor, just tick the items you require and leave your slip at the surgery. Your medication will be ready for collection within 2 working days. If you provide a stamped addressed envelope we can post your slip and prescription to you. The slip will tell you when it is time for you to be seen by the Doctor or nurse for review. You should make an appointment in good time so that you do not run out of medicine.
The Pharmacists are available for advice and can help with medication queries.
Please do not telephone requests for repeat prescriptions unless absolutely necessary, as this leads to mistakes and confusion and it blocks the telephone line.
Waddesdon (Homeware) Weds & Fri after 3.00pm Quainton Village Hall Weds & Fri at 2.30pm

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
